Important Shipping Update: AusPost Suspension of Parcel Deliveries to the U.S.

Australia Post has temporarily suspended parcel shipments to the United States and its territories, including Puerto Rico and Guam. This pause stems from changes to U.S. customs regulations ending the de minimis exemption for low-value imports (previously under US $800), meaning duties must now be prepaid before delivery. Letters, documents, and gifts under US $100 remain unaffected.

Although Australia Post is working with U.S. customs partners—including Zonos, a U.S. Customs-authorized provider—to develop a compliant solution, the disruption continues through August 2025 and may extend into September.

What This Means for You

If you’re waiting on a parcel sent via Australia Post:

  • Expect delivery delays or temporary pauses in transit to the U.S.

  • You may experience tracking gaps or changes in estimated delivery times.

  • Some business customers and exporters are already facing challenges due to this disruption.

Recommended Solution: Choose FedEx/DHL for Faster, Reliable Delivery

If you need expedited and dependable delivery to the U.S. right now, we strongly recommend selecting FedEx at checkout. FedEx/DHL is not affected by the current tariff-related delays impacting postal operators.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. If shipping to the U.S. is urgent for you, simply choose FedEx/DHL at checkout to ensure quicker, smoother delivery.
