The multipurpose cable tester is a professional tool for finding and testing telephone and network cables. It has two modes of operation, the scanning allows users to plug a cable to the tester and the receiver will sound an alert as you are moving the receiver closer to where the other end of the cable. Useful for tracing your connections from a wall port to the patch panels or networking equipment. The test mode (LAN only) can be used for shorts and cross testing by injecting at one end of the cable and indicating at the receiver with the LED indicator. The tester has a built-in RJ11 cable with alligator clips. It also includes a carry case, 1x 12cm RJ45 to coax cable, 1x 12cm RJ45 cable, 2x 9V batteries and earphone.
