OPTICAL WIRE METER TRACER - NETWORK CABLE TESTER WITH OPM AND VFL
The NOYAFA NF-8518 combines a network cable tracer, continuity tester, length meter, PoE tester, optical power meter and visual fault locator in one rugged handheld kit. The colour screen transmitter shows each test step by step, while the receiver traces the target cable in noise-free digital mode and then confirms continuity on the spot, so there is no more walking back and forth between both ends of the run. Ideal for data cabling installers, network technicians and fibre installers working in homes, offices, comms rooms and data centres.

- Digital Mode Cable Tracing:
- Noise-free scanning precisely locates the target cable within tangled bundles and busy patch panels, with no false alarms in complex installations
- Scan and Continuity in One Step:
- Once the cable is found, check continuity directly on the receiver. Detects wire map, open circuits, short circuits and crossed pairs on RJ45 and RJ11 cables
- Continuity testing up to 350m, with SCAN and CONT functions on UTP cable up to 1000m
- Cable Length Measurement:
- Measures cable length and break distance for each pair (1-2, 3-6, 4-5, 7-8) over 5 to 350m, with user calibration for CAT5e, CAT6 and CAT6a cable
- PoE Test:
- Detects standard IEEE 802.3af/at and non-standard PoE from 5 to 60V, shows the voltage on each pin and identifies End Span, Mid Span or 8-pin supply
- Port Flash:
- Flashes the link light on the connected switch port to show exactly which port a cable is plugged into
- Crimping QC Test:
- One-touch check of all 8 cores in a crimped RJ45 plug to catch poor terminations before they cause network dropouts
- Optical Power Meter:
- 10 selectable wavelengths from 850 to 1650nm with a measuring range of -70 to +6dBm
- Readings in dBm, dB or mW/uW/nW, with REF mode for measuring the attenuation of a fibre link
- Visual Fault Locator:
- 10mW red laser finds breaks, cracks and tight bends in fibre optic cable, and suits SC, FC and ST connectors
- Non-Contact Voltage Detector:
- Receiver alerts you to live mains wiring, outlets and equipment for safer work on site
- 60V Anti-Burn Protection:
- RJ45 test ports automatically cut off hazardous current if abnormal voltage is detected
