BEAM SPEAKER TECHNOLOGY, REDEFIND

Over twenty years ago, Yamaha re-invented home theater with the YSP-1 soundbar, and have been refining beam technology ever since. In this latest model, Yamaha's original YDA-141 high-performance amplifier with twelve ultra-precise DSP-controlled beam speakers mounted on the top (six on each side) create unique height channels with ceiling reflections. With realistic Dolby Atmos® playback, it delivers an amazing sound field that surpasses conventional soundbars.

The foundation of Yamaha's original Beam Speaker Technology consists of two key elements: a side-by-side array of multiple small-diameter speakers, and the use of advanced digital signal processing to precisely control the timing of the sound emitted from the array. When each of these speakers simultaneously emit the same sound, the multiple sound waves overlap, creating a sound "beam" of strong directional waves. By slightly shifting the timing of the sound from each speaker with the ultra-accurate digital signal processing the directivity of the beams can be precisely controlled and focused to reflect from ceiling surfaces to create a remarkably realistic sonic field where the sound seems to come from above. Moreover, the technology has been by customized exclusively for various three-dimensional sound field formats, such as Dolby Atmos®, DTS:X™, and AURO-3D®, enabling extraordinary real-height reproduction that fully takes advantage of the sonic brilliance of these sound field formats.

True X Surround 90A is a system that brings new innovations to home cinema. With a slim-bodied soundbar just 71 mm tall, it features multiple, meticulously selected speaker units, encased in a sturdy, highly rigid cabinet supported by large resin legs with a substantial contact area exceptionally solid build quality for an audio device. In addition, combining a subwoofer boasting new Symmetrical Flare Port® technology with two fully wireless rear speakers featuring built-in battery power provides unprecedented flexibility and a profoundly authentic cinematic experience.
